How do I change the shape of an icon?

Follow

To change the background shape of an icon first click on the icon you want to edit in the map. Select the icon in the pop up that resembles a pen (second from the left). You'll notice there are three categories within this icon. Choose the third option called Shape.

There you can choose either a square or circle background shape for your icon. Click save after selecting your background.

You will have two options when saving edits to an icon. The top option Changes apply to all tools of this type will change any/all of the same icons that you have previously put on the map to the new style.

Example: You have placed 3 barns on your map and now place a 4th barn and change it's background to a square. By choosing the Changes apply to all tools of this type, all 4 of your barns will now have a square background.

The bottom save option, Save as new tool in my library, allows you to create a new icon while preserving the original characteristics of any/all of the same icons that you have previously put on the map.

Example: You have placed 3 barns on your map and now place a 4th barn and change it's background to a square. By choosing the Save as new tool in my library, only the barn you have chosen to edit will change it's background to a square. All the other barns you have placed on the map will not change.
